65 emerging contemporary artists from throughout the world was picked out of more than 2000 applicants for the 9 week summer programme in the woods of Skowhegan.

DANISH ART COUNCIL: The 2009 Grant plus funding for "The Exquisite Capabilities of the Flying Carpet" at Skive Kunstmuseum

This spring The Danish Art Council has supported me with funding for my up-coming solo show at Skive New Museum of Art/SNYK as well as a general working grant.
And because it is quite expensive to work as an artist, this means the whole world;-) I will spend the money on The Skowhegan Artist Residency in Maine, and to moving to New York at the end of the year. THNX;-)

I was at Iceland when the photo was taken, but I´ll be there at the opening, showing video (INTO THE PYRAMID) + paintings.

I have been accepted to the Skowhegan Artist Residency, in the competitive selection out of 2000 applicants - it will be from mid june to mid august...

PLAYING ON SHIP, iceland 2009

I ended my Icelandic adventures by making 2 videos. The first is called "playing ship" is recorded on a field of snow in front of a mountain, a ship is stranded and I inhabit it by playing sounds on it, in post production this sound will create an electronic soundscape, based on some basic rules.

ICELAND RESIDENCY.

Spring 2009 I am spending at Iceland, an artist residency in an old fishermans town of 350 inhabitants. One shop - but loads of snow! Old ships and a beautiful abandoned factory. The studio is a large and warm fish factory. I share it with 6 other artist from all over the world. This is from the walk yesterday, where I fell through snow and landed in a river, when I came back to the studio and got warm and dry. A snowstorm began!

In february I met up with Armin and Phillip to shoot my new film, an 8mm film in Berlin.
